International Competition for the Urban Design and Masterplan of a city in Valtellina valley in the Alps. The city and its region are crossed by many historical and new paths, so the urban strategy we propose is to develop Morbegno as the city of walking. Walking meant in different ways: urban strolling, racing, jogging, hiking…
The old and the new tissue of the city will be transformed in a continuous net connected by a unique flooring, street furniture and signs system made with local materials and simple forms that remember pioneering excursions in the Alps.
